We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and highly positive Head Girls Swimming Coach for the Fall season. In this role, you will do much more than draw up plays and run drills. You will design a program culture built on discipline, academic responsibility, and mutual respect. Whether you are guiding seasoned athletes toward collegiate recruitment or introducing newcomers to the joy of competition, you will serve as a critical mentor in our scholars' lives. Salary & Compensation (Stipend) Compensation: Paid as a single seasonal stipend according to the Board of Education Extra Pay/Coaching Salary Schedule. Payment Schedule:Fall Sports: Stipend paid on or about November 10. Winter Sports: Stipend paid on or about February 10. Spring Sports: Stipend paid on or about May 10. Benefits Note: Athletic coaching contracts are seasonal and do not carry district-paid medical benefits or permanent retirement enrollment. Role Summary The Head Girls Swimming Coach performs all on- and off-season duties necessary to run a highly competitive, compliant, and character-driven athletic program. Reporting directly to the building Athletic Director, you will manage practices, oversee student safety, maintain equipment inventory, ensure MSHSAA eligibility standards are strictly met, and actively promote positive community relations. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications) Credentialed Leader (Required): Must possess a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate OR an active Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate (requires a minimum of 60 college credit hours). Safety Certified: Possess (or have the ability to quickly obtain prior to the first practice) active CPR, AED, First Aid, and NFHS/MSHSAA-required certifications (including Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest training). The Sport Strategist: Deep knowledge of the rules, tactical strategies, and safety protocols unique to Girls Swimming. Prior playing or coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level is highly preferred. Academic Champion: Committed to monitoring and supporting student-athletes' academic progress, behavior, and overall attendance. The Master Communicator: Exceptional human relations skills with the ability to maintain proactive, positive, and clear communication with parents, school administrators, and local media. Your Impact (Key Duties) 1. Preseason Preparation Organize summer practices, strength programs, or open gyms (as permitted by MSHSAA guidelines). Size, organize, and order necessary uniforms and team equipment under the guidance of the Athletic Director. Complete all mandatory MSHSAA online rules reviews, safety videos, and compliance tasks. Coordinate team schedule distribution, parent informational meetings, and fundraising initiatives. 2. Tryouts & Roster Management Promote the program across campuses to recruit student-athletes of all backgrounds. Set up, manage, and execute fair, objective team tryouts. Collect and audit all required paperwork prior to student participation, including active physical exam cards, proof of insurance, and emergency contact forms. 3.
