**Title:** Head Coach - Baseball RSCC Internal Applicants Only **Employee Classification:** Other Professionals **Institution:** Roane State Community College **Department:** Athletics **Campus Location:** Roane State Community College **Job Summary** Responsible for supporting and promoting the success of the baseball program through compliance, fiscal management, student-athlete development, fundraising, and operational support. Ensures adherence to TCCAA and NJCAA regulations, monitors team budgets, tracks student-athletes’ academic progress, coordinates fundraising efforts, assists with athletic field maintenance, manages the baseball alumni database, and performs other duties as assigned to support the athletic department and college mission. The Head Coach will report to the Athletic Director and collaborate with program stakeholders, the Assistant Coach, student-athletes, and faculty/staff. **Job Duties** 65% of time dedicated: - Manage operations including the development and execution of practice and game schedules, travel, player conduct, and equipment procurement. - Be familiar with and adhere to all TCCAA and NJCAA bylaws and procedures. - Monitor budget and follow all financial/purchasing guidelines. - Emphasize and be proactive in monitoring student-athletes academic progress. - Team and athletic department fund raising activities. - Coordinating alumni database for baseball. - Other duties as assigned. 15% of time dedicated: - Recruiting and field maintenance. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor's degree. 3-5 years of baseball coaching experience. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of program and player development. Current/Valid driver's license. **Preferred Qualifications** Collegiate level experience coaching baseball. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** Excellent leadership and communication skills. Sets clear expectations to assistant coach and student-athletes.
