The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) Campus Operations function is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional facility operations that support world-class events and guest experiences. Through strong operational oversight, vendor partnerships, and team leadership, Campus Operations ensures the Authority’s facilities operate at the highest standards of quality, safety practices, incident response, and preventive maintenance. **GROUNDS ATTENDANT ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** - Maintain exterior grounds and certain interior areas as required, using basic cleaning methods. - Inspect and clean exterior grounds, parking lots, and parking decks daily. - Monitor and inspect the work of exterior plant and landscaping maintenance contractors. Notify Operations Manager about any discrepancies. - Police facility entrances as required. - Monitor facility entrances and floor areas during adverse weather conditions. - Implement basic safety procedures during daily routine. - Keep exterior free of unsightly weeds. - Notify Operations Manager of equipment and facilities requiring repair and replacement. - Complete daily tasks assigned in a cooperative manner. - Perform general manual labor associated with housekeeping and set-up functions. - Such other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator or Leads. - Ability to operate carts, pickup trucks, forklifts and various landscaping equipment. **GROUNDS ATTENDANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES** - High degree of integrity and compliance - Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up and completion. - Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage workload using own initiative - Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with limited resources. - Detail oriented - Assess, weigh and manager risk in the face of uncertainty. - Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities. **GROUNDS ATTENDANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE** - High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred - Minimum of one (1) year experience as grounds technician or comparable position for a public facility or comparable private complex is preferred. - Must have a valid driver’s license.
