Through strong operational oversight, vendor partnerships, and team leadership, Campus Operations ensures the Authority’s facilities operate at the highest standards of quality, safety practices, incident response, and preventive maintenance. **EQUIPMENT REPAIR MECHANIC POSITION SUMMARY** The Authority is currently recruiting an Equipment Repair Mechanic to join Georgia World Congress Center. The Equipment Mechanic supports facility maintenance by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of equipment essential to daily operations and event execution. This role requires demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems and a working understanding of basic electrical and/or engineering principles to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment, including housekeeping, grounds, kitchen, and event-related assets. The Equipment Mechanic operates with a high degree of independence and technical skill, prioritizing work based on operational demands and event needs. This position contributes to preventative maintenance efforts, equipment lifecycle management, and overall operational readiness. Responsibilities include the repair and maintenance of catering equipment, motorized carts, lifts, appliances, and other facility-related equipment, as well as supporting installations, maintenance projects, and special assignments across the campus. **EQUIPMENT REPAIR MECHANIC PHYSICAL DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position requires flexibility to work an irregular schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational and event needs. **EQUIPMENT REPAIR MECHANIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: - Perform mechanical/electrical, physical component repair and maintenance work on such equipment as motorized carts, forklifts, vacuum cleaners, power tools, catering type equipment, tables, chairs, etc. - Maintain records, including use of the computerized maintenance work order system, relative to such areas as repairs, preventative maintenance, work orders, parts and supply usage, and labor expended in the repair and maintenance of equipment. - Notify appropriate personnel when equipment being serviced appears to have been improperly used or abused - Maintain inventory control and dispense maintenance and repair pa…
