## Description | Job Title: | Birthday Party Coordinator | | --- | --- | | Department: | Group Sales | | Reports To: | Group Sales Manager | | Status: | Seasonal | | Age: | 18 years or older | | **SUMMARY** | | --- | The primary purpose of a Birthday Party Coordinator is to help prepare and assist families with their birthday parties held in Kid’s Korner. This is a seasonal position, reporting to the Group Sales Manager. Park’s operational summer hours are typically Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. During the parks season, evening and weekend hours are required. | **RESPONSIBILITIES** | | --- | - Make the party fun, safe, and easy for the families with attention to detail - Follow a birthday schedule routine with times as designated - Assist in carrying any items brought from the family’s car to the pavilion - Set up the birthday party pavilion with paper products, balloons, and ice if purchased at the start of the party - Decorate pavilion with family’s party supplies using only masking tape - Arrange any pre-ordered catering food or the family’s food as they arrive - Interact with the family as food is being served while keeping the catering line clean and appealing - Organize cake or cupcakes and assist with candles, lighter, etc. - Sell ride only tickets to birthday party groups - Organize and play age-appropriate games, such as: pin the tail, bean bag toss, tic tac toe, cornhole, etc., during designated times with birthday children - Coordinate and assist with the Knoebels’ Characters upon arrival to the party | **KEY COMPETENCIES** | | --- | - Candidate should possess strong communication skills, high degree of integrity, positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems - Candidate must have a current valid driver’s license - Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a team - Excellent organziation skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Strong customer service skills, both internal and external - Excellent time management skills to maintain schedule and manage multiple parties - Maintain a positive attitude - Exceptional communication skills while relating to people in a friendly, professional manner - Self-motivated; acts without needing directions - Perform cleaning duties after birthday parties and store food in designated refrigerators to maintain a clean, safe work environment ***This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
