This position is for an appointment of 11 months; renewal of appointment is dependent on satisfactory performance, program needs, availability of funds, and meeting the eligibility requirements of the assistantship (for details, go to the UHM Graduate Division website [Eligibility & Criteria | Graduate Division (hawaii.edu).](https://manoa.hawaii.edu/graduate/eligibility-criteria/) **Duties and Responsibilities:** 1. Conduct graduate-level research and writing which may include, but not limited to, policy briefs, report writing, white papers, etc., on academic policies, procedures, and effective practices. 2. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using thematic approaches and statistical methods to create tables/figures and other data visualizations. 3. Create, update, and maintain materials for presentations, events, newsletters, and websites. 4. Manage and maintain accurate course and program records, including database management and data entry. 5. Communicate with academic departments, students, and external stakeholders. 6. Provide administrative support for academic initiatives, including academic course and program actions, commencement, new faculty orientation (Ho‘olauna program), and faculty and department leadership training events. 7. Coordinate and provide logistical and technical support. 8. Update the OVPAE website. 9. Perform other duties as required. **Minimum Qualifications:** 1. Classified, full-time (minimum of 6 credits) graduate student in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or above) in any field. 2. Conduct academic research and develop literature reviews. 3. Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. 4. Complete assigned tasks with a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and quality. 5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and organize tasks. 6. Able to work independently, take initiative as appropriate, and reliably contribute to the team. 7. Proficiency in office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace). 8. Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional work environment. **Desirable Qualifications:** 1. Experience in project coordination, management and or event planning. 2. Experience updating websites. 3.
