## Overview As the Global Procurement Manager, you will report to the Director of Supply Chain or anyone of like status. You will be responsible for managing the global procurement operations for the organization. You will maintain supplier relationships and identify potential partnerships that are aligned with Inolex’s values by monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers. You will be responsible for solving for single-sourced raw materials and developing a sourcing and buy strategy for raw materials and purchased ingredients in collaboration with planning and contract manufacturing management. You must be able to work cross-departmentally to ensure and maintain optimum service for both our internal and external customers. ## Description **Duties/Responsibilities:** - Maintain knowledge of the market, in addition to current prices and fair rates for goods. - Manage supplier relationships and identify partnership potential aligned with Inolex’s values. - Monitor, review and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts. - Lead responsible sourcing initiative from the supply chain vantage point. - Solve for single sourced raw materials by securing multiple sources for each key raw material. - Manage spend for Inolex’s purchased raws and finished good ingredients ensuring optimal economics and compliance to Inolex standards. - Maintain company budget and streamline costs. - Plan policies and procedures for efficiently, honestly, economically, and productively purchasing goods for supply chain production and operation. - Establish essential guidelines for approving purchase orders, set purchasing policies, budget for materials and continuously consider stock requirements. - Review invoices for accuracy and work with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies. - Coordinate buy vs make plan with Supply Chain and Operations management to ensure optimized supply and operational utilization. - Develop sourcing and buy strategy for raw material and purchased ingredients in collaboration with planning and contract manufacturing management. - Other job duties as assigned by management. ## Requirements **Required Skills/Abilities:** - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. - Excellent analytical skills. - Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. - Efficient time management and people management skills. - Ability to read and understand manuals and maintain proper records. - Ability to collaborate with others and work independently. - Ability to identify key details. - Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, operations, logistics or a similar field preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or a related field. - In depth understanding of the global chemical supply chain. - Minimum of 1-3 years of management experience. - Knowledge of proper freight handling/loading techniques. - Proficient computer, Microsoft Office suite of products and ERP skills required. MS Dynamics and Excel strongly preferred. **Physical Requirements:** - Located in an office with potential time spent in the chemical and shipping warehouse(s). Must wear designated safety gear and PPE when appropriate. - Walking between departments, using stairs and climbing ladders. - Bending, crouching, kneeling and the ability to lift 50 lbs. manually and unassisted. - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
