Glass Machine Operator - Day Shift

We are seeking a full-time Machine Operator for our Glass Fabrication Factory. Duties include the set-up, operation, and maintenance of machinery. Operators utilize machinery to complete custom projects per specified drawings, ensuring the scope of work is completed on time and on budget with a focus on excellent quality while maintaining a safe working environment. **Job Duties:** - Interpret fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and work manuals. - Set up tools per specified programming and cutting requirements - Adjust machine settings for tool compensations and material types. - Check completed parts for quality of cut and critical dimensions. - Identify concerns or problems with current design or manufacturing process. - Perform daily, and weekly machine PMs. **Job Qualifications**: - 1+ years of experience working in a production area. - Ability to set up and change tools. - Ability to meet deadlines and budgets and provide quality workmanship. - Ability to work in a team environment. **Required physical strength:** - Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally. - Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally. - Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours. - Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching. - Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections. - Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force. - Must be able to push, and pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment. **Benefits:** - $500 Sign-on Bonus after 90 days of employment. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Wellness program. - 401k and 401k Match. - Fun company events.
