Ardent is seeking a GIS Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a remote position . Position Description: Ardent is seeking a GIS Solutions Architect to support the design, modernization, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise geospatial capabilities within a federal environment. This role will serve as the technical lead for geospatial architecture initiatives, supporting enterprise GIS strategy, system integration, cloud modernization efforts, and geospatial governance activities. The GIS Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise geospatial solutions that support mission-critical operations, data-driven decision making, and enterprise-wide access to geospatial information. This position will collaborate with technical, operational, and business stakeholders to develop innovative GIS capabilities aligned with cloud, cybersecurity, data management, and enterprise architecture objectives. Responsibilities and Duties: Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise geospatial solutions. Support deployment, configuration, and optimization of ArcGIS Enterprise and GeoEvent Server environments. Design and maintain enterprise GIS architectures supporting cloud-native and hybrid environments. Lead migration of geospatial applications, services, and data into cloud-based infrastructure. Support integration of geospatial systems with enterprise data platforms, data catalogs, and business systems. Develop GIS governance strategies, standards, and best practices for enterprise geospatial operations. Ensure geospatial solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and Zero Trust requirements. Evaluate emerging geospatial technologies and provide recommendations for adoption and implementation. Support role-based access controls, data security, and compliance requirements across GIS environments. Collaborate with developers, engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver geospatial capabilities aligned with mission needs. Support development, testing, production, and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and guidance to GIS teams and stakeholders. Support user training, knowledge transfer, and adoption of enterprise geospatial capabilities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of specialized experience supporting enterprise GIS, geospatial architecture, or geospatial solution design. Experience designing and implementing ArcGIS Enterprise environments. Experience supporting enterprise geospatial governance, data management, and system integration initiatives. Experience architecting geospatial solutions within cloud or hybrid environments. Experience supporting geospatial web services, dashboards, and enterprise GIS applications.…
