**ENTERPRISE:** WE-KO-PA RESORT JOB TITLE: GIFT SHOP ATTENDANT DEPARTMENT NAME: GUEST SERVICES REPORTS TO: WCR GIFT SHOP SUPERVISOR SALARY: D.O.E POSITION STATUS: Regular Full-Time, FLSA NON-EXEMPT HOURS PER WEEK: 40 POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a friendly and reliable Gift Shop Cashier to join our team! A Gift Shop Cashier Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way -Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you and Goodbye! As a cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential Duties may include tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and does not comprehensively list all functions and tasks performed by the position in this class. - Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. - Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. - Assist customers in finding products and provide information about merchandise. - Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. - Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the gift shop is visually appealing. - Answer customer inquiries, including questions about pricing, availability, and promotions. - Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints professionally and courteously. - Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts. - Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and informing the manager of low stock or discrepancies. - Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient working environment. - Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including an extensive background check). - Must pass a pre-employment drug test. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: - Hear, reach, see, and walk for 67-100% of the workday. - Eye/hand coordination for 67-100% of the workday. - Stand for 80-90% of the workday. - Bend and twist for 1-33% of the workday. - While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Must have Gift Shop experience INDIAN PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.
