Job Summary The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing large-scale construction projects, managing field leadership teams, and ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, safety, and quality objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations. Essential Job Responsibilities Lead and mentor field teams on large-scale projects, ensuring proper staffing and execution. Manage projects in accordance with contracts, scope, specifications, and client expectations. Oversee drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and code compliance. Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and manpower coordination. Promote safety, quality, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Work with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues and drive results. Manage multiple complex projects while providing strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations. Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and progressive construction leadership experience. Minimum 5+ years of Superintendent experience managing ground-up commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects valued at $50 million or more. Proven track record delivering complex construction projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, transportation infrastructure, industrial facilities, high-rise buildings, or similarly complex projects. Thorough knowledge of applicable building, electrical, life-safety, and construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning. Demonstrated ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents to ensure successful project execution. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and field leadership teams simultaneously. Preferred: Experience leading large-scale projects exceeding $100 million in total construction value. OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Highly preferred: Experience supporting critical electrical infrastructure projects, including mission-critical, data center, or other high-reliability electrical systems.
