The General Maintenance Technician completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs. Military Occupational Specialty Code: 91E, 91C, EM, HT, MK, DC, 1161, 1341, 3E1X1 ### Responsibilities • Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures • Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities • Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary • Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed · Performs basic landscaping duties (tree trimming, weeding, and watering plants). · Identifies maintenance risks on equipment · Ordering and maintain cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment · Cleans, adjusts, and repairs systems, and performs warranty services · Replacing light fittings and broken globes. · Assist skilled maintenance, landscaping, and custodial staff · Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently · Provides technical direction and on-the-job training · Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions · Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act · Complies with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements · Assists with customers' queries · Completes other duties as assigned ### Qualifications **Qualifications** · Must be 18 years of age or older · Some previous refrigeration/HVAC Trade or Vocational certification required · 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field **Preferred Qualifications:** · Customer Service Experience ### About the Company ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
