The role combines hands-on construction labor with a credentialed site access escort function, moving subcontractor personnel and visitors from the gate to the worksite in full compliance with installation security and project specification requirements. This is a self-directed position on a secure installation, suited to someone with a see something, do something mindset who can keep people and work areas moving without waiting for direction. Key Responsibilities Performs general construction labor including site cleanup, sweeping, brooming, material handling, and flagging to keep work areas safe, orderly, and production ready. Serves as a credentialed escort for subcontractor personnel and visitors, moving them through base security from the gate to the worksite and supervising their access while on site. Coordinates the daily flow of subcontractor personnel arriving and departing on an ad hoc basis, including staggered arrival and departure times, so field supervision can stay focused on production. Develops into the project subject matter expert on base access and credentialing: getting personnel through the gate, from the gate to the worksite, and on the worksite according to specification requirements. Applies a proactive, self-directed approach to the work, identifying and completing tasks without waiting to be told. Supports the field and quality control teams as needed to keep the project on schedule and in compliance. Maintains strict adherence to installation security protocols and all federal site access requirements. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. This position supports a secure facility and is not eligible for non-citizen applicants. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of experience on commercial vertical construction. Experience on a military installation strongly preferred. Specific trade background is not required. Candidates from mechanical, plumbing, roofing, general labor, and apprenticeship backgrounds are all encouraged to apply. Demonstrated proactive, self-directed work ethic with a see something, do something mindset. Ability to obtain and maintain base access credentials and escort authority. Reliable attendance and the ability to manage a fluid daily schedule of personnel movement. Physical Requirements Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work holidays, evenings, or weekends as necessary. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Sitting, standing, bending, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. This position requires the ability to maneuver around construction sites where temperatures and noise levels can fluctuate, and the ability to see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients.
