Job overview In this entry-level role, you’ll be focused on the assembly and machining of Third Members and gear components. The Gear Assembler is responsible for assembling gear sets and related components according to established work instructions, specifications, and quality standards. This role focuses on performing repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety expectations. Here are the specifics: - Assemble gears and related components according to work instructions and established specifications. - Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete assigned work. - Verify parts and components are correctly assembled before moving to the next production step. - Perform visual inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects, damage, or missing components. - Accurately complete production and assembly documentation as required. - Maintain organization of parts, tools, and workstations. - Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. - Communicate quality concerns, material shortages, or process issues to leadership. - Assist with inventory organization and material handling as needed. - Support other production areas as business needs require. - Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. - Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. - Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through on commitments. - Embrace and live out Speedway Motors core values. - Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work setting. - Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and professional growth.
