Starting at $17.00 hourly, weekly pay, and benefits, apply today! **Job Overview** The Furniture Repair Associate will operate a stock picker to pull and put away merchandise, shrink wrap, and prepare repaired merchandise for stocking, and any other tasks that are requested by the management team. **Job Responsibilities & Duties** *Typical duties include but are not limited to:* - Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety awareness. - Prepare and wrap merchandise using packaging material. - Operate material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse. - Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner. - Correctly use a hand truck - Inspect all power equipment and complete the Vehicle Inspection Report before operation. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment. - All other duties as assigned by management. - Prior experience operating warehouse equipment preferred. - Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques. - Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment. - Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions accurately. - Ability to safely handle product from 0 to 35 feet above the ground. - Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision. - Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends. - Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner. **Job Requirements** - Prior experience operating warehouse equipment preferred. - Knowledge of the correct lifting/team lifting techniques. - Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment. - Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions accurately. - Ability to safely handle product from 0 to 35 feet above the ground. - Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision. - Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends. - Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner. **Compensation** - **Starting at $17.00/hour and up** - Dependent on experience - Pay Grade A: $16.00-26.91 - At AFW we offer great perks: weekly pay, benefits package (medical, dental, vision) 401k matching, and more! **Physical Demands** - Capacity to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas. - Capability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily. - Lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily. - Continuous use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back. - Ability to lift, lower, move, carry, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. and the skill to handle/manipulate merchandise up to 250 lbs. frequently. - Able to work in various environments with different lighting, loud exterior noise, and flooring. - Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground. **Work Environment** - Fluorescent Lighting - Concrete Flooring - Climate affected by outside conditions - Considerable exterior noise - Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse If you want to know more about American Furniture Warehouse and what we do click on the link below! https://youtu.be/QjaYn\_sn\_AM **American Furniture Warehouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.
