We are hiring a Workday Financial Functional Solution Architect (tech lead) to own functional design and configuration of Workday Financial modules and partner closely with finance stakeholders to deliver end-to-end financial processes. This role is fully remote and focused on hands-on functional Workday Financials work—gathering requirements, configuring business processes, supporting testing and deployment, and providing post-go-live support—without responsibility for integrations or technical development. Responsibilities Lead functional configuration of Workday Financial modules. Gather, analyze, and translate finance stakeholder requirements into Workday designs. Design and implement end-to-end financial business processes in Workday. Build and maintain Workday business process configurations and functional design documentation. Develop and validate Workday reports (Basic & Advanced) to meet finance reporting needs. Plan and support UAT, testing, and production deployment activities. Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements. Partner with finance teams to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting standards. Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to project leadership and finance stakeholders. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials. Demonstrated experience configuring business processes and functional designs in Workday Financial modules. Functional expertise in one or more of: Banking and Settlement, Budgets, Business Asset Accounting, Business Asset Tracking, Cash Management, Common Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Miscellaneous Payments, Organizations and Roles, Supplier Accounts, Suppliers. Solid knowledge of finance operations and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Experience creating and working with Workday Basic & Advanced reports. Proven ability to work closely with business users and stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions. Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting UAT, testing, and production deployments and providing post-go-live support. Nice to Have Workday Financials functional certification. Experience in end-to-end Workday implementation or support projects. Exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency financial environments.
