# X-Ray Technologist ## Position Summary North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused **X-Ray Technologist** to join our team in **Flower Mound, Texas**. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to **cross-train into CT or MRI** for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills. ## Schedule - **Full-time** - **Monday–Friday** - **8:00 AM – 5:00 PM** - **No weekends or on-call** ## Requirements - Current **Texas Medical Board (MRT)** General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable) - **ARRT (R)** certification - Current CPR certification (preferred) - Excellent patient care and communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team ## Responsibilities - Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols. - Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history. - Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality. - Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience. - Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems. - Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently. - Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures. - Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care. - Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency. - **Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.** - Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned. ## Qualifications - Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and anatomy - Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills - Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills - Dependable, professional, and team-oriented - Strong organizational and communication skills - Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy outpatient environment - Interest in expanding skills through cross-training is encouraged ## Compensation & Benefits - **Competitive pay based on experience** - **80 hours of accrued PTO** - **Health insurance** - **Scrubs provided** - **Closed on major holidays with holiday pay** - **Excellent opportunity for career growth through CT and MRI cross-training** If you're looking for a stable outpatient radiology position with a great weekday schedule and the opportunity to grow into advanced imaging modalities, we'd love to hear from you!
