Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check. **Applications are being accepted for the following vacancy for the Fall 2026 semester on the Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.** **Department: Nursing and Surgical Technology** **Full-Time Instructor Surgical Technology HV-FAC-Surg7626** **(Position Is a full-time Probationary, Tenure track Position) Fall 2026** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**: Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting./Surgical Technology from an accredited college or university or a Registered Nurse; possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA); have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years. Previous experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning initiatives is preferred. **DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES**: The Instructor will report to the Department Chair and perform the following duties: • Provide instruction in Surgical Technology Courses. • Evaluate Student performance. • Participation on departmental, division wide, and College wide committee for the purpose of building community. • and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported. • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty contract. The Salary beginning the Fall 2026 academic year is $53,000.00.
