Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Entry-Level Fabricators for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. This position involves working on new and exciting automotive prototypes in a variety of areas. The Full-time Entry-Level Fabricators will cut materials to size and shape and weld metal using hand tools and equipment such as band saws, material brakes, and material shears. The Full-time Entry-Level Fabricators will provide welding support for the garage shop services teams. The Full-time Entry-Level Fabricators will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions. This Full-time Entry-Level Fabricators position is based out of Allen Park, MI and offers AM and PM shifts and overtime when needed. **Shift Schedule:** - **AM day shift**: 6:45 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus overtime when needed) - **PM night shift:** 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Monday - Friday, plus overtime when needed) **Responsibilities:** - Weld instrumentation, exhaust tubes, and bosses - Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with sanding disk and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture - Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions - Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs - Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up **Requirements:** - Minimum 1+ years of fabrication experience in a professional or shop environment required - High school diploma or equivalent - Basic knowledge and ability to Tungsten Inert Gas (**TIG**) or Metal Inert Gas (**MIG**) weld - Good communication skills and detail oriented - Knowledge to safely operate and use the Plasma cutter and Oxy-Fuel torch to cut out material - Knowledge to safely operate and use brakes, shears, and bench machines - **Must have tools and rolling toolbox** **Preferred Skills:** - Certificate in Welding Technology or related **Retirees and veterans are welcome.** **Benefits:** - Overtime when available - No certification required - Veteran friendly employer - PDW offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k after 60 days of employment - Opportunity to work with the latest automotive technology **Performance Driven Workforce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.**
