Full-Stack Engineer

We’re looking for humans ready to create the future; for doers and disruptors ready to solve real customer problems and meet real customer needs. ## Your Day - Guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features - Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to ensure we build the right solution - Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to influence product strategy and direction - Ship well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code while keeping our customers' best interests in mind - React to how our product is used in the wild, and help fix bugs and production issues as they occur - Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes with security, performance, and reliability in mind - Mentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise - Develop strong client relationships to achieve a ‘trusted advisor’ status in helping them achieve their digital goals. ### Requirements - Proven experience in backend technologies, particularly Java, with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing APIs, microservices, and backend systems. - Strong understanding of database design and management, including experience with SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) - Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL services. - Strong experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket. - Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for hosting, deployment, and storage - Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for websites and apps - Basic understanding of analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Quantum Metrics for data tracking and reporting. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA, and project managers. - 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on web and mobile app development - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues. - Experience working on global or large-scale digital projects, preferably in the hospitality or consumer-facing industries ### Set Yourself Apart: Preferred Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on web and mobile app development - Experience working on experimentation with platforms like LaunchDarkly - Knowledge of localization and internationalization best practices for multi-language and multi-currency websites and apps. - Experience with SEO principles and web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG). - Background in the hospitality industry or experience integrating industry-specific tools like booking engines or property management systems (PMS). - Contribution to open-source projects or a robust GitHub portfolio showcasing relevant work. - Natural-born problem solver.
