**FRONT DESK MONITOR – MICHAEL’S HOUSE** **** **Location:** Albany, NY **Program**: Homeless & Housing Services – Michael’s House **Type:** per diem (Non-exempt) **Pay Range:** $18.91 - $23.57 per hour **Schedule**: WEEKENDS REQUIRED -- Saturdays & Sundays; 4pm - 12am (midnight) **Notes**: This in-office position is weekends with some holidays and extra evenings/nights as needed. **Job Ref. #**: 0543 **Our Mission** St. Catherine's Center for Children provides a comprehensive range of human services designed to offer hope, foster growth, and improve the lives of the children, families and adults we serve. **Our Vision** St. Catherine’s willingness to embrace change and develop new services is, and will remain, our guiding philosophy as we support the human service needs of children, families, and adults throughout the region. **Position Overview** The Front Desk Monitor, located at 543 North Pearl monitors the front desk of Michael’s House, a 20-unit, fully furnished, supportive housing facility that provides a safe and stable environment for families and individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. The individual in this role will help to foster a supportive, caring and family atmosphere for the residents of Michael’s House, as well as the staff. **Position Requirements & Specifications:** - High School diploma / GED Equivalent is **required**. - Previous experience working in a human services agency is a plus! - Proficiency in computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is **required**; Experience with, Google Business Workspace Suite (Gmail, Docs, Meet, Sheets) is preferred. - Self-motivated and engaged, with a strong attention to detail; Excellent writing aptitude. - Capacity and openness to work with populations from culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including but not limited to a broad range of people with various developmental and functional levels. - Capable of exercising ethical, independent judgment and discretion, and handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality. - Have a professional record of integrity, proven reliability and dependability. - Qualities of positivity, flexibility and adaptability to day-to-day changes with agency needs and functioning. - Ability to complete pre-employment background check requirements, including CBC fingerprinting. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**: - **Relationship Management:** Establish and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with staff, service providers, community resources, and facility residents while ensuring 100% compliance with agency policies and procedures. - **Administrative Support:** Manage daily office operations, including word processing, filing, telephone/desk reception, and accurate record-keeping; proactive supply inventory; ordering supplies as needed. - **Facility Safety:** Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by identifying, reporting, and resolving facility issues. - **Crisis Intervention:** De-escalate and intervene in crisis situations, utilizing mediation and communication skills to resolve conflicts effectively. - Other position-related duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor. **What We Offer You\*\*** - Competitive Pay with an Excellent Benefits Package - Health Insurance options: Medical, Dental and Vision - $600 Well-being Reimbursement Benefit - Generous Combined Leave Time (CLT) and Paid Holidays! - We are a 501(c) (3) agency, which is a qualifying employer for eligible staff under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program - Pension Plan with Generous Agency Contribution - 403b Retirement Savings Plan - Life Insurance – Automatic Benefit at **no cost to employee** - Paid Training, including TCI and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification & Update courses, *if role appropriate* - Tuition Reimbursement & Travel/ Mileage Reimbursement - Professional Development & Career Growth Opportunities - The Comfort of a Business Ca…
