Fresh Foods Team Member

- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, inventory preparation, merchandising, and product display. - Thrive in a **fast-paced kitchen environment**, maintaining efficiency, organization, and quality while managing multiple tasks. - Prepare, portion, and package fresh foods according to established recipes, production schedules, and Co-op quality standards. - Wash, chop, sort, and prepare fresh ingredients for daily café and kitchen production. - Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory, and replenish displays to maintain quality and proper stock levels. - Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays with accurate pricing, product labels, ingredient lists, allergen information, and special diet designations. - Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled with ingredients and production dates. - Maintain clean, organized food preparation, storage, and display areas in compliance with health department and Co-op food safety standards. - Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient production, excellent product quality, and a positive customer experience. - Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food production environment. - Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail. - Strong customer service skills. - Proficient knife skills and the ability to safely use kitchen equipment. - Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. - Basic math skills. - **Preferred:** 3+ years of kitchen or food preparation experience. - **Preferred:** ServSafe Food Handler Certification. - **Preferred:** Allergen Awareness Certification. - Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, lift, reach, twist, push, and pull. - Ability to safely lift and carry products, including overhead when necessary. - Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas and near ovens, stoves, and open flames. - Ability to read labels, maintain accurate records, and work efficiently in a busy, noisy environment.
