## Description The Outbound Professional (also known as a Personal Shopper), is responsible for picking and packing grocery items and other goods, scanning items for order completion, and ensuring that the customer’s goods are well protected. This role does not require previous experience. Responsibilities and Working Conditions: - Processing (picking + scanning + packing) - Safe Food Practices specific to department - Assist in housekeeping of the department - Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse - Audit product for quality - Maintain a team player mentality by assisting others when the need arises - In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more - Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. - Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. - Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. - Required to wear oil and slip-resistant shoes - Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators) **** **Education and Qualifications:** - Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. - Willing to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department) - Must be comfortable in a warehouse/production environment - Ability to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast-paced work environment. - Basic reading and math skills - Able to stand and walk for long period of times - Ability to push, pull, squat, twist, kneel, reach, turn and bend - Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs intermittently during a typical work shift - Comfortable and able to work an 8-12hr shift (hours per day are based on business need) - Must be able to stand for the majority of your shift - Ability to work in a climate around 32 to 38 degrees. - Required to wear oil and slip-resistant shoes - Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture Note: The pay rate for this role is $16.50 per hour. **Why choose FreshDirect?** We're a company that thrives on teamwork.
