**Join us and help shape the future of AI by defining the narrative around document understanding.** ### About LlamaIndex LlamaIndex builds LlamaParse, the world's best agentic OCR and document parsing engine for AI applications. Enterprises and developers use LlamaParse to turn their hardest documents — dense PDFs, scanned files, tables, and forms — into clean structured data their AI systems can actually use, at a scale of millions of pages a day. Document ingestion is one of the most underestimated problems in AI, and LlamaParse is how teams solve it. ### About the role We're looking for our founding Field Marketing and Community person — someone who owns how LlamaIndex shows up in the real world and turns in-person experiences into pipeline. You'll own our entire field program end to end: the corporate events we host, the first-party experiences we create, the third-party conferences we sponsor, and the ecosystem partnerships we build with other vendors in the AI space. This is a combination of strategy and hands-on execution — you'll decide where we show up and why, then roll up your sleeves and make it happen, from venue booking to booth staffing to post-event follow-up. We see this as an open-level role and are flexible for candidates at all levels. We care far more about your ability to create memorable experiences and drive measurable pipeline than about years on a résumé. ### What you'll do - Own field marketing end to end. Build the strategy, calendar, and budget for all in-person programs — then execute them hands-on. You are both the architect and the operator. - Run our corporate and first-party events. Plan and produce dinners, workshops, meetups, roadshows, and hosted experiences that put LlamaIndex in front of the right technical and enterprise audiences. - Manage third-party events and sponsorships. Evaluate which conferences and industry events are worth our presence, negotiate sponsorships, and make sure we stand out when we're there. - Build ecosystem partnerships. Develop co-marketing relationships with other vendors in the AI ecosystem — joint events, shared audiences, and partner activations that multiply our reach. - Create memorable experiences. Every touchpoint should be something attendees talk about afterward. You obsess over the details that make an event feel different. - Drive pipeline through targeted in-person experiences. Partner closely with sales to pick the right audiences, get the right people in the room, and convert conversations into qualified opportunities. - Measure and report on effectiveness. Own the metrics for every field program — registrations, attendance, pipeline sourced and influenced, and cost per opportunity — and use them to double down on what works. - Lay the foundation for community. As our founding field and community hire, you'll shape how we engage our developer and customer community in person over the long term. ### What we're looking for - 1–3+ years of field marketing, event marketing, or community experience in the AI/ML space (or adjacent developer/enterprise infrastructure) — but we're flexible at all levels for exceptional candidates. - A track record of managing corporate events, first-party events, and third-party sponsorships from concept through post-event follow-up. - Experience building ecosystem or co-marketing partnerships with other vendors. - A pipeline mindset. You treat events as a revenue channel, not a checkbox, and you can speak to the numbers behind programs you've run. - Equal comfort with strategy and execution. You can present a quarterly field plan to leadership in the morning and haul swag boxes to a venue in the afternoon. - Exceptional organization and project management under tight timelines and shifting priorities. - Based in or willing to be in the San Francisco Bay Area for a hybrid schedule, with willingness to travel for events. ### Nice to have - Existing relationships in the AI/developer-tools ecosystem (vendors, communities,…
