**PROGRAM SUMMARY:** Aging Strong is a program of Jannus, Inc. dedicated to changing the lives of older adults through service and connection. Through innovative, volunteer-powered programs, Aging Strong helps older adults age with dignity, purpose, and independence while reducing isolation and strengthening families and communities. Our programs support family caregivers, military connected families and students while empowering older adult volunteers to serve with purpose. Our programs include caregiver and professional education, companionship respite and mentoring/tutoring in schools. **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Foster Grandparent Program and Classroom Volunteer Lead assists and works in conjunction with the Aging Strong Team to ensure programs successfully deliver on the mission. The Program Lead supports the operation of the Aging Strong program by overseeing the Foster Grandparent and Classroom Volunteers work streams with moderate oversight. This includes the recruitment, training, oversight, and placement of volunteers, tracking of programmatic metrics, program recognition, and program outreach. **OUR VALUES:** Our Values are **Compassion, Respect, Entrepreneurship and Creativity** **PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** *The duties recorded below are representative of the duties of the class and are not intended to cover all the duties performed by incumbents(s) of this position.* Program Operation and Administration a. With support of the Aging Strong Director, lead coordination efforts and meetings related to Foster Grandparent and Classroom Volunteer’s recruitment and placement. b. Collaborates closely with fellow team leads in the Aging Strong program. c. Recruit, onboard, train, place, manage, retain, evaluate, recognize, and terminate program volunteers. d. Maintain confidential, accurate, and timely documentation of volunteers in accordance with program requirements, including demographic information, background checks, surveys, timecards, etc., e. Maintain accurate placement files including, attendance, demographic information, student and teacher information, and ongoing service provision in accordance with program requirements. f. Accurately track and maintain documentation on volunteer time. g. Properly screen and assess volunteers to determine program eligibility. Community Outreach and Education a. With support of the Aging Strong Team, execute on plans and strategies to reach potential volunteers. b. With support of the Aging Strong Team, execute on plans and strategies to represent Aging Strong at various public gatherings. c. With support of the Aging Strong Team, execute on plans and strategies to build and strengthen relationships with program partners. d. With support of the Aging Strong Team, maintain a regular social media presence based around program awareness and recognition. f. Maintain MOUs and other facilities agreements with community partners. g. Maintain MOUs with all placement stations. h. Maintain positive relationships with principals and teachers. Training and Education Programs a. Create and facilitate a robust and meaningful training program for volunteers. b. Source and offer relevant resources and tools to volunteers, teachers, and students when applicable. c. Coordinate regular recognition for volunteers. d. Regularly vet and invite program partners to educate, train, inform, and/or support volunteers. Other Responsibilities a. Understand and support the overall mission, goals, and objectives of all Aging Strong programs. b. Complete all mandated training by program partners. c. Drive own vehicle to all outreach and program activities. d. Potentially attend at least one out of town conference annually. e. Other duties as assigned.
