Forward Deployed Software Engineer (EU)

The raise follows a breakout year, with our business growing 8x as enterprise customers across industries adopt our category, AI‑moderated research, as the new standard for understanding people. We’re a tight-knit team serving some of the world’s largest enterprises. Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with our sales and customer support teams, and play a key role in driving Outset’s EU expansion. - Interface directly with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and build specific features to address them. - Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, ensuring timely resolution of all technical questions and issues. - Be a key part of the team providing global operational support for the platform. - Design, develop, and optimize intuitive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and Next.js. - Build robust and responsive components that seamlessly integrate with backend services and APIs. - Design, develop, and optimize backend services, APIs, and real-time data processing infrastructure. - Implement and refine our in-house Large Language Model and real-time interview technology. - Lead customer-facing projects from initial conception through production deployment, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and reliability. Qualifications - 5+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting production-grade frontend and backend systems. - Experience in a customer-facing role. - Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. - Experience building scalable, responsive web applications. - Familiarity integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Strong proficiency with Python and Django, including experience building robust APIs. - Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred). - Experience deploying and managing services on AWS. - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices. - Bonus points for familiarity with real-time data visualization, real-time data streaming and export, WebRTC, or AI/ML infrastructure.
