Forklift Operator

**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Location: Lafayette, NJ** **Reports to: Warehouse Manager, New Jersey** **Temporary to Permanent Opportunity** *All Hires will be processed through a Third-Party Agency for temporary assignment.* **Primary Purpose:** Under minimal direction, ensure that orders are loaded and unloaded in a timely and efficient manner according to company standards by partnering with the Warehouse Manager and team. **Duties and Responsibilities:** - Load and unload equipment off trailers and containers with a forklift - Inspects equipment for damages and notifies supervisor - Responsible for pulling and packing orders in a safe timely manner - Maintenance of inventory, which includes power washing and touchup of equipment - Maintain accurate and timely inventory records - Participates in inventory management and counting at required - Understand all safety procedures. Ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain a safe work environment - Other duties as assigned - Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws **Skills and Knowledge:** - Strong work ethic in a team environment and ability to adapt to quickly changing business environment - Certified forklift driver - Good written and verbal communication skills - Excellent attention to detail - Possess a sense of urgency - Sound decision making skills - Valid driver’s license **Minimum Education and Experience:** - High School diploma or GED **Working Conditions:** - Work is typically performed in a warehouse and yard environment in all season weather which requires proper safety precautions. Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. - Regular work hours are planned as 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
