You prepare and serve meals, snacks and beverages for therapeutic diets and cafeteria service. You will report to the supervisor/manager on duty. **Primary Tasks:** 1. Prepare simple foods using standardized recipes, posted menus and therapeutic diet restrictions. 2. Apply information from the Oklahoma Diet Manual regarding food allowances on physician ordered diets. 3. Monitor and adjust the quantity of food prepared; minimize food waste and ensure portioning. 4. Receive, date, rotate and store food according to approved foodservice standards and notify a supervisor of outdated food. 5. Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures and report equipment temperatures issues to supervisor. 6. Provide accurate, friendly and timely service to customers, patients and coworkers. 7. Maintain a sanitary work environment through strict adherence of established sanitary standards; work in a safe manner to prevent harm to self and others. 8. Document information received concerning a patient’s diet and food selections and maintain proper records observing dietary regulations. 9. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned. **Required Education, Skills and Experience:** - Ability to obtain a Choctaw Nation Food Handlers certificate within 90 days of hire - Ability to communicate with others - Visual acuity necessary to identify cleaning products, food labels - Ability to follow safety guidelines - Six [6] months of directly related experience ### Responsibilities Prepare simple/basic foods using standardized recipes, posted menus and therapeutic diet restrictions.
