JOB GOAL: Support the operation of the Food Services Department by serving nutritious meals and maintaining excellent sanitation at all assigned locations based on temporary staffing needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Collect meal counts from Principal or designee to determine total number of meals required. 2. Order meals, snacks, milks, drinks, and supplies into computerized ordering system. 3. Prepare and serve meals according to ServSafe guidelines. 4. Assist the food prep team as needed. 5. Act as cashier. 6. Properly handle and store food according to ServSafe guidelines. 7. Sanitize work areas. 8. Maintain or assist with record keeping as directed. 9. Responsible for assigning work duties of the day to the satellite food services staff. 10. Establish good rapport with students and staff. 11. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Verify delivery invoices. 2. Must be willing to engage in ongoing professional development. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or GED required. 2. Valid PA Driver’s License required. Must have the ability to report to various locations based on need.3. Must be able to pass certification requirements for all local, state, and federal inspections including ServSafe. 3. Knowledge of equipment operation. 4. Knowledge of sanitation processes. 5. Ability to operate a computer and applicable software and devices. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 7. Ability to work as an individual and as a team member. 8. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of customer service skills and professionalism. 9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. 10. Ability to support a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion. 11. Other qualifications to the above that the Board may find acceptable and appropriate. REPORTS TO: Food Services Supervising team and/or designee SUPERVISES: Not applicable. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Job calendar specific. Expected to report to work at the regularly scheduled start time during inclement weather delays. EVALUATION: For new employees, evaluations will be performed according to the current collective bargaining agreement. For transferring employees, evaluations will be done at 30 days. All regular employees will be evaluated at least yearly.
