Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Duties: High School Diploma or Equivalent College degree; preferred specifically in Culinary Art/Food Service Management. Five (5) or more years of full-service or institutional experience in a high volume kitchen ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Prep and cook meals according to cycle menu as needed. Be proficient in recipe procedures, measurement conformity, and cooking techniques. Ability to lead, delegate, and manage a team to perform up to standards set forth by management. Assist in implementation and follow-up on general worker task lists and sanitation cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment. Minimum of three years of ordering and inventory for high volume kitchen Responsible for all general food preparation, serving, cleaning, and sanitation procedures. Perform temperature checks during production period to ensure food is being cooked, prepared, and held at proper temperatures. Maintain daily Production Records and Kitchen Logs. Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, and school personnel Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and the ability to learn new software programs Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Assist with putting away vendor deliveries. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Job Description: Available on request.
