Food Service Associate (Part-time)

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a **Part-time** **Food Service Associate** at a boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 in Newtown, PA. - Must be available to work Part-time as follows: mornings, afternoons, or evenings **What the Food Service Associate will do:** - Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude - Help oversee that catering activities run smoothly - Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner - Transport food and supplies to the serving area: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food-serving, and beverage areas. - Serves and replenishes food from food counters and steam tables. - Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage. - Keeps dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized - Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments - Inspects workstations for compliance with service standards. - Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. **What the Food Service Associate will need:** - 1-2 years of related food service experience - High School Diploma or Equivalent - Excellent communication, good organizational skills - Ability to converse with the faculty, students, and staff with ease - Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties - ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred. - Reliable Transportation **What the Food Service Associate will get:** - Competitive Pay, Meals, Uniforms, Benefits such as Health, Vision, Dental, and more!
