Whether you're looking to begin a career in healthcare or simply enjoy serving others, this is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults every day. ### Schedule **Primary Shift:** 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM This position is primarily an evening role and includes rotating weekends and holidays. Additional daytime hours may be available occasionally to assist with departmental coverage. **What You’ll Do:** - Follow assigned shift duties and task schedules, ensuring work is completed in an organized and timely manner - Serve meals to residents with attention to proper portions and presentation - Maintain an efficient pace to support timely meal service and dining operations - Assist with dining room setup and breakdown, including clearing tables and resetting for the next meal - Operate dishwashing equipment and support dish room functions, including washing dishes, pots, and pans - Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and dish room areas following established procedures - Properly use cleaning products and equipment to maintain a safe and sanitary environment - Follow all safety guidelines and promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns - Work collaboratively with team members and assist where needed to ensure smooth daily operations - Follow all Lutheran and Dietary Department policies and procedures - Manage time effectively to complete all assigned duties during each shift - Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor **What We’re Looking For:** - High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required - Willingness to learn – on-the-job training provided - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Ability to stay organized and maintain pace during busy shifts - Reliability and a positive, team-first attitude **Why Join Lutheran?** At Lutheran, we’re more than a workplace—we’re a community.
