Bartell Hotels is an equal opportunity employer. **Primary Objective of Dining RoomServer Position** To provide quality service to hotel restaurant guests by providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable food and beverage service. **Responsibilities** - Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner. - Reviews menu with diners, suggesting dinner courses, appropriate wines, and answering questions regarding food and cocktail preparations. - Enters orders accurately in POS and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. - Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving. - Observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been completed. - Presents bill and processes payment - Replenishes supplies and prepares for the next meal. Other duties as assigned **Physical Demands & Work Environment** While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. The employee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise is usually moderate to loud.
