This role ensures all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency while maintaining compliance with healthcare dietary regulations. The ideal candidate will be a **strong leader** who can motivate and manage a diverse team, implement efficient workflows, and maintain a collaborative relationship with both staff and administration. * * * ### **Key Responsibilities** - Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations across all shifts. - Oversee food production to guarantee meals meet nutritional, safety, and quality standards. - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with **state and federal health regulations**. - Schedule and coordinate staffing to ensure proper coverage during operating hours (5:30am – 8:00pm). - Manage and resolve union workforce concerns in accordance with labor agreements. - Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and support cost-effective purchasing practices. - Collaborate with dietary and clinical teams to meet resident needs and preferences. - Maintain documentation for compliance, inspections, and audits. ### **Qualifications** - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare food service management role. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing union employees preferred. - Knowledge of **healthcare dietary guidelines, sanitation, and regulatory requirements**. - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including alternating weekends and holidays. - ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credential required. - High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Nutrition preferred.
