This role requires excellent leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. **Team Leadership:** - Supervise and lead the food and beverage team, including servers, bartenders, banquet associates and kitchen staff. - Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure exceptional service delivery. - Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and mutual respect. **Operational Management:** - Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage department, including opening and closing procedures. - Ensure food preparation and delivery time is executed in a timely manner and quality is up to standard. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and upfold sanitation standards in accordance with local health code **Customer Service:** - Greets guests and ensures their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations. - Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner. - Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. **Quality Control:** - Problem solves any guest issues and makes improvements to enhance service delivery while monitoring food and beverage quality. - Conduct regular inspections of dining area, service stations, and kitchen facilities to maintain cleanliness and organization. - Adhere to food and beverage standards set by the brand for menu items, staff training and operational procedures. - Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service. - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menus based on guest feedback. - Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. - Follows established policies to ensure inventory control, limiting access and ensuring all food and liquor inventories are properly secured. - Comply with all NM Serv Safe practices and gain the appropriate food handling certification. - Complies with State laws for serving Alcoholic Beverage and manages guest alcohol intake. - Follow proper workplace safety regulations. **Financial Management:** - Review hotel forecast and Banquet Event Orders to schedule based on business needs. - Ensure compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record-keeping procedures and practices. - Manages labor and department expenses to meet departmental budget requirements. - Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time - Ability to lift 25-50 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 75 pounds - Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, to provide servers assistance or participate in cleaning duties. - Requires finger dexterity and the ability to type and use a telephone, computer or the POS System. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. - Understanding of health and safety regulations and sanitization standards. - Excellent communication and guest service skills. - Knowledge of F&B operations, including inventory management and cost control. - Serve Safe certified or the ability to obtain certification upon employment. - New Mexico alcohol certification or the ability to obtain certification upon employment. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
