Accommodates "work-in/walk-in" patients as ordered by the provider. - Maintains laboratory inventory and equipment, and notifies manager of equipment malfunctions. - Assists the laboratory director to ensure CLIA compliance and follows safety standards according to established guidelines. - Efficiently and accurately enters all lab entries into the computer when preparing requisitions and documents in-house test results in the appropriate system. - Obtains and executes accurate orders for laboratory testing. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - General knowledge of Medicare, PPO's, and HMO's. [Required] - Current basic computer skills, data input. [Required] - Good business office organizational skills. [Required] - Good verbal and written communication skills. [Required] - Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment. [Required] - Ability to adapt to change. [Required] - Must have basic training in taking vitals, performing electrocardiograms [Required] **Education:** - Associate in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or successful completion of at least a 50-week official us military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of medical laboratory specialist (laboratory technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a clia-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024.
