Our team is committed to excellence and strives to exceed expectations in every cleaning task. # Job Description **Position:** Floor Technician – Part-Time **Schedule:** Monday through Friday | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM *Schedule may vary based on operational needs and may include occasional weekend shifts.* **Location:** Seminole County **Pay Rate:** $16.00 per hour ## Position Overview The primary responsibility of this position is to perform professional floor care services. The Floor Technician will maintain the appearance and safety of facility flooring through specialized cleaning, restoration, and maintenance techniques using commercial floor care equipment. Based on business needs, the selected candidate may also provide coverage for general cleaning duties at assigned locations. This includes performing routine janitorial tasks to ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and presentable. The ideal candidate has previous experience with commercial floor care, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional service. ## Key Responsibilities - Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet cleaning. - Operate commercial floor care equipment safely and efficiently. - Maintain hard floors and carpets to company quality standards. - Assess flooring conditions and perform restoration procedures as needed. - Clean and maintain floor care equipment after each use. - Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. - When needed, provide coverage for general janitorial services, including: - Dusting - Vacuuming - Sweeping and mopping - Restroom cleaning and sanitizing - Trash removal - General facility cleaning - Follow all company safety policies and procedures. - Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and supply needs to management. ## Qualifications - Previous commercial floor care or janitorial experience. - Experience with stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet maintenance. - Knowledge of commercial floor care equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. - Good communication and customer service skills. - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Must successfully complete any required background checks and drug screenings. ## Working Conditions This position is performed primarily indoors in commercial facilities. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and occupied work areas. The position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating specialized floor care equipment throughout the shift. ## Background Check Selected candidates must successfully complete any required pre-employment background check before their start date.
