LabCorp is seeking a **Float Phlebotomist** to join our team in Austin, TX **Work Schedule:** Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed) **Job Responsibilities:** - Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups - Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. - Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner - Process billing information and collect payments when required - Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis - Maintain patient and specimen information logs - Provide superior customer service to all patients - Administrative and clerical duties as necessary - Travel to various clinic sites **Minimum Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications:** - 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment - 2 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric) - Current or prior LabCorp experience **Additional Job Standards:** - Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles) - Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment - Able to pass a standardized color blindness test - Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record - Access to reliable transportation - Flexibility to work overtime as needed - Exceptional customer service - Strong communication skills; both written and verbal - Ability to work independently or in a team environment - Comfortable working under minimal supervision At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
