**Functions:** Technicians perform various automotive and construction equipment repairs including preventive maintenance, annual inspection, brakes, steering, tires and light engine work. New vehicle upfitting with tracking/safety devices. In addition, some light body repairs or fabrication as required. The mechanic will perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. **Requirements:** - Experienced in regular vehicle maintenance, trailers, diesel is a plus - State mechanical certifications preferred but not required - Light/heavy automotive or equipment-related electrical knowledge preferred but not required - Chauffeur's license preferred, or test to be passed within the first 90 days of employment. - An excellent driving record is required. - Must be able to pass a DOT physical with two-year medical card. - Basic tool set. Snap On & Matco tool trucks are available for purchase.
