**NOW HIRING – Fleet Maintenance Mechanic** **Position Summary** We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and self-motivated **Fleet Maintenance Mechanic** to join our team at **BELOMAN, Belleville, IL**. This position is full-time, reports to our Operation Manager and is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of approximately fifty company vehicles. The successful candidate will help ensure maximum vehicle reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and minimal downtime while maintaining accurate maintenance records. This is a fast-paced position that offers an excellent long-term career opportunity for an individual who values teamwork, integrity, and taking pride in quality workmanship. **Primary Responsibilities** - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a fleet of fifty vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, and brake inspections. - Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and safety-related issues. - Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and electrical systems. - Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all fleet vehicles. - Monitor vehicle condition and recommend repairs or replacements to minimize downtime. - Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules to ensure fleet readiness. - Perform emergency repairs as needed. - Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. - Manage inventory of parts, tools, and shop supplies. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Assist with vehicle registration, inspections, and compliance requirements when needed. **Qualifications** - High school diploma or GED required - 3+ years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. **Required Skills** - Preventive maintenance planning - Mechanical and electrical diagnostics - Time management and organization - Recordkeeping and documentation - Safety compliance - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Starting pay will be between $23-$26 per hour, based on experience.
