Fleet & Equipment Manager (3219)

**Job Summary:** The primary responsibilities of the Fleet & Equipment Manager will include overseeing and optimizing the performance and safety of Mersino’s fleet trucks and heavy equipment. This will include the management and oversight of various aspects of equipment management, operations, maintenance, and training programs. **Typical Duties and Responsibilities:** - Manage the acquisition and disposal of vehicles and equipment. - Evaluate equipment requests, including vehicle transfer requests within the organization, and make recommendations for transfers, additions, or replacements. - Develop processes to ensure efficient utilization of assets; report on findings and make recommendations on actions to correct any underutilization. - Establish, implement, and manage maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment, auditing to ensure compliance throughout the organization. - Ensure *The Mersino Way* is a guiding document in all daily activities, **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. - Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance. - Proven experience in fleet and equipment management, preferably in a similar industry. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Proficiency in computer systems and fleet management software. - CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not required. **Specific Expectations:** - A professional demeanor. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication abilities. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. - The ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements. - Required intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or heavy equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. **Disclaimer:**The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
