**Title:** Fleet Admin Support Supervisor DSP00456 **State Role Title:** Gen Admin Supv I/Coord I **Hiring Range:** $44,192 to $92,700 Negotiable and Commensurate with Experience **Pay Band:** 4 **Agency:** Department of State Police **Location:** North Chesterfield, Virginia **Agency Website:** vsp.virginia.gov **Recruitment Type:** General Public - G **Job Duties** About the Position: The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire a Fleet Admin Support Supervisor in our Communications Division at our Administrative Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: • Supporting the Fleet Administrative Manager primarily by supervising administrative support functions, including fleet records management, administrative repairs coordination, supply chain management/storekeeping, and inventory management. • Providing fleet management support by overseeing quality control, maintenance, transportation, surplus, and disposal of fleet vehicles and the forfeiture and seizure program. • Contributing to safe and efficient Fleet operations by ensuring the cross-training of subordinate staff and assisting the Fleet Administrative Manager with developing desk procedures aimed at safety compliance and efficient continuity of operations. If you’re ready to make a difference and be part of something larger than yourself, your next career starts here. **Minimum Qualifications** Knowledge of: • DMV licensing, registration, salvage titling, and related legal requirements. • FOIA requirements. Skills in: • Using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to: • Research law‑enforcement vehicle enhancements. • Manage fluctuating workloads. • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate staff. • Communicate effectively orally and in writing in English. • Train staff, customers, and sworn officers on fleet procedures and specialized equipment. • Prepare documents and reports. • Track operational priorities and recommend strategic actions. • Work across multiple agencies. • Use databases and asset management systems. • Interact professionally with vendors and Commonwealth partners. • Experience with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. • Virginia Operator’s Driver’s License is required. • Graduation from high school or equivalent. **Additional Considerations** • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred. • Experience with administrative fleet and surplus functions preferred. • Experience related to vehicle auctioning preferred. • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is preferred. • Forklift experience preferred. • Experience with procurement either in the state eVA procurement system or a similar online purchasing application preferred. • Knowledge of state procurement rules, eVA processes, and surplus property policies preferred. **Special Instructions** You will be provided a confirmation of recei…
