Fitness Desk Staff

***“Recreate” a better life with a career in the field of Parks & Recreation!”*** **JOB SUMMARY** Park Center Health and Fitness is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to be a part of our fitness team. The Fitness Desk Staff member is responsible for overseeing the fitness center during assigned shifts, and performing the following duties, but not limited to: - Check patrons into computer system, answer the phone and complete transactions on the computer. - Ensure patrons are following the rules, encourage patrons to clean their machines, and provide great customer service. - Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility by refilling amenities, completing laundry, and cleaning locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the fitness desk area. - Conduct facility tours and track prospective member inquiries. - Provide equipment orientations for new members. - Administer basic first aid to patrons when needed. - Perform duties that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time. **QUALIFICATIONS** - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic personality required. - Previous customer service experience is highly desirable. - Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone. - Proficiency with computers and basic computer applications. - Applicants must be at least 18 years old of age. **SCHEDULING & PAY** This is a **year-round** part-time. Seasonal applicants will not be considered. Starting pay is $16-$18/hour depending on qualifications.
