**Fiscal Analyst 4** **Full Time | Permanent** **Location: Stafford Creek Corrections Center | Aberdeen, WA** **Salary Range: $83,340 - $112,092 Annually** **This position is represented by the Teamsters 117 bargaining unit.** **This position may be allocated for up to two days of telework per week after an initial training period.** The Washington State Department of Corrections has an exciting opportunity for a fiscal guru to join the Stafford Creek Corrections Center fiscal team as a **Fiscal Analyst 4** **(FA4)**! The goal of the Fiscal Analyst 4 is to is ensure responsive customer service for local funds accounting and manage incarcerated individual banking. As a Fiscal Analyst 4, you will utilize and interpret various WAC,s, RCW’s, State Administrative and Accounting Manual (SAAM), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and agency policies. The candidate of choice will maintain a reasonable understanding of the Department’s structure, facility activity, and programs in order to provide consultation services to project managers and field fiscal staff as needed. As a **Fiscal Analyst 4**, some of your duties will include: - Incarcerated Individual Banking which could look like: - Planning and assigning of incarcerated individual banking work activities using independent judgment to meet the needs of the facility - Working activities include but are not limited to deposits and withdrawals from incarcerated individual Trust Accounts, incarcerated individual payroll and releases - Interpreting and application of DOC policy, WAC and RCW’s in responding to inquires received from incarcerated individuals, incarcerated individual’s family/friends, local/other facility staff and external entities - Preparing monthly local fund financial reports, prepare and produce payment for local fund liabilities owed to the department and other local funds, State of WA, and external entities to include other-State/Federal/County agencies and the courts - Reconciling Local Bank Accounts to include the Incarcerated Individual Welfare Betterment Account activity (Account 29B), Incarcerated Individual Resident Trust Account activity (Account 651), Vocational Education Service Account activity (Account 575), and Miscellaneous Program Account activity (Account 759) - General Accounting to include: - Analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating fiscal and accounting activity - Supporting the LBM in research and expenditure correction activity - Ensuring reimbursable projects are cleared prior to fiscal month close - Monitoring and/or reconciling general ledger activity - May assist LBM in budget and allotment preparation - Staff Development and Supervision - Other duties as assigned **What we need (required qualifications):** - High school diploma or GED - 12 Semester or 18 Quarter hours of accounting credits from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or foreign equivalent - Completion of Accounting 201, Accounting 202, and G…
