Firewatch (Weekend & Nights)

**Purpose:** The Fire Watch team is responsible for monitoring facility conditions to prevent fire hazards, ensuring fire protection systems remain operational, and maintaining accurate inspection and monitoring records. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** 1. **Temperature Monitoring** - Actively monitor site temperatures to prevent the potential onset of fire. - Conduct hourly temperature checks at designated locations throughout the facility. - Accurately record all temperature readings on the 86-03 Fire Watch Daily Log. - Identify and report abnormal temperature increases or potential fire hazards immediately. 2. **Emergency Response** - Take immediate corrective action when temperatures exceed established thresholds. - Notify supervisors and appropriate personnel of any fire risk or unsafe condition. - Assist in implementing emergency procedures to protect personnel, equipment, and products. 3. **Documentation and Compliance** - Maintain accurate and complete records of all temperature monitoring and fire protection inspections. - Ensure compliance with company fire prevention procedures and applicable safety regulations. - Communicate identified hazards, deficiencies, or concerns to management in a timely manner. **Required Skills and Qualifications** - Ability to recognize fire hazards and unsafe conditions. - Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping. - Ability to follow safety procedures and emergency response protocols. - Effective communication and reporting skills. - Ability to work independently while maintaining vigilance throughout assigned shifts. **Physical Requirements** - Ability to walk throughout the facility during inspections and monitoring rounds. - Ability to work in varying environmental conditions. - Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
