This position responds to emergency situations within the City to perform fire suppression, hazardous materials incident response and rescue duties as well as administers CPR and first aid and removes victims from dang High SchoolDiploma or GED NFPA FF I & FF II SC and National Registry EMT NFPA 1582 Physical Background Check Drug Screening **Minimum Qualifications:** Applicants must have a High School Diploma plus a minimum of one to two years of experience in the firefighting and EMT field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicants must possess a Firefighter II certification, an EMT certification and a valid driver's license. **Physical Requirements:** Must be physically able to operate a variety of heavy machines and equipment. Must be able to exert up to five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to push, stoop, lift, pull, reach, kneel, climb, crouch, carry or otherwise move objects. Work involves walking or standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift/carry weights of up to 80 pounds.
