Our team remains laser-focused on one goal – making the world a safer place. ### Job Summary Suppression technicians are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service with tasks related to the installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems. ### Key Responsibilities - Install, test, and maintain a variety of fire suppression systems, including clean agent systems, dry chemical, CO2, foam, and other special hazards fire protection applications. - Perform routine inspections, service, and maintenance tasks on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This includes inspecting, testing, cleaning components, and verifying system functionality. - Perform testing of suppression system components, including alarms, pressure gauges, and release mechanisms. - Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues and malfunctions with fire suppression systems, resolving them efficiently to bring systems back to normal working conditions. - Be willing to perform routine inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. - Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally. - Communicate effectively with clients to explain the condition of their fire suppression systems, providing instruction and education on system operation, functionality, best practices, and emergency response procedures. - Providing emergency service to investigate and diagnose alarm and trouble conditions to determine cause and take corrective action. - Manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality. - Maintaining accurate and precise documentation of all work orders daily, including completing and submitting all required task-related, activity, productivity, and thorough inspection reports with customer signatures to the inspection manager in a timely manner. - Ensure proper maintenance, care, and upkeep of all company-provided equipment, including trucks, lifts, and tools. - Maintaining a clean and safe work environment with strict attention to all safety requirements, demonstrating an understanding of and adherence to all safety regulations and practices. - Making sure all work complies with relevant local, state, and national codes and regulations. - Other duties as assigned. ### What We Are Looking For - Knowledge/experience installing, repairing, and servicing suppression systems in a commercial environment. - Nicet Certification in Suppression preferred. - Possess related licensing/certification or be able to become licensed/certified. - Must be comfortable working from a lift and ladders. - Working knowledge of computer networking, IP addresses, etc. - Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle or use personal vehicle to work. - Must display professional appearance and demeanor along with outstanding customer service and communication skills. - Must be a self-motivated worker with the demonstrated ability to contribute to team operations, performing all work in an efficient, organized,…
