Financial Coordinator

- Helps patients by providing service cost information and assistance. - Processes inbound calls. - Audits charts and insurances. - Collects outstanding balances and pre-appointment payments. - Triages customer needs. - Maintains patient charts with appropriate data entry, insurance information and referrals or prior authorizations. - Answers incoming phone calls in a timely manner. - Follows PHI security and HIPAA compliance in accordance with federal laws. - Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. - Develops knowledge of customer needs and trends to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. - Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements. - Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
