Financial Analyst, Generative AI

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 2 years with an advanced degree. Preferred qualifications: Strong data analytics background - ability to separately liase with partners in Product, Engineering, Partnerships and DS&E to understand datasets and run analyses to provide insights to partners and finance leadership. Ability to self-initiate and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, accountability, and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle. Acumen to build Relationships in a nascent product area. Responsibilities Lead the financial evaluation, scoping, and modeling of potential partnerships, licensing agreements, and scaled remuneration structures for Generative AI technologies and ecosystem incentives. Build trusted advisor relationships with leaders in a high-growth, ambiguous environment, providing proactive financial guidance to enable agile decision-making across the Search and K&I organization. Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and extreme ownership to adapt seamlessly to changing priorities, moving from technical data processing to high-level executive storytelling for executive leadership. Conduct data-driven analyses to quantify the net financial impact of GAI products, including AI Overviews (AIO) and AI Mode (AIM), on business, query growth, core search metrics, and infrastructure/machine resource allocation. Collaborate with broader finance and cross-functional colleagues to iterate on the Long Range Plan (LRP), manage resource allocations for nascent and rapidly evolving AI products and ecosystem programs.
