Support monthly and year-end close, reporting, and audit preparation. Perform variance analysis and prepare reports to guide decision-making. Collaborate across teams to improve processes, systems, and financial tools. **Skills You'll Need** - Strong knowledge of GAAP, with governmental accounting knowledge a plus - Experience with general ledger accounting and financial close processes - Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and data tools - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and reporting abilities - Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and improve processes - Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and maintain confidentiality **What You Bring/Your Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - At least two (2) years of accounting experience. - Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. - Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia. - Satisfactory credit history **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with Tyler, Munis, or similar ERP and financial management systems - Experience working in a local government environment **Competitive salary and benefits package** The City of Johns Creek offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
